Sept. 17 — Rick emcees the City of Hope's Spirit of Life Gala honoring Gary Hunt of California Strategies at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. Former Hewlett-Packard chief and GOP Senate candidate Carly Fiorina, a cancer survivor, is featured speaker.
June 28 — Rick makes introductions at the Orange County Business Journal's General Counsel Awards dinner.
April 26 — Rick moderates "The Great Pension Debate: Can Pensions be Reformed Cooperatively?" pitting Steven Greenhut, editor-in-chief of CalWatchdog.com, against Nick Berardino, general manager of the OC Employees Association. The event is sponsored by the Pacific Research Institute and the Lincoln Club of OC.
March 31 —Rick moderates the "2011 Outlook" panel sponsored by the OC Forum and featuring La Jolla Institute President Steve PonTell, OC Business Council President Lucy Dunn and OC Taxpayers Association President Curt Pringle.
Feb. 10 —Rick moderates a dinner panel on U.S. immigration policy sponsored by the World Affairs Council of Orange County at the Irvine Marriott Hotel. Panelists are Mexican Consul Alejandra Garcia Williams; former state Sen. Dick Ackerman; and Chapman University Professor Tibor Machan.

Oct. 14 — Rick moderates a pre-election roundtable sponsored by the League of California Cities and featuring OC Democratic Party Chairman Frank Barbaro, OC Republican Party Chairman Scott Baugh, lawyer Wylie Aitken and Tustin Mayor Jerry Amante.
Aug. 26 — Rick moderates a "Congressional Update" featuring Orange County representatives Loretta Sanchez, John Campbell, Ed Royce, Dana Rohrabacher, Ken Calvert and Gary Miller.
June 2 — Rick emcees the TechAmerica High-Tech Innovation Awards dinner at the Hyatt Regency Irvine.
May 13 — Rick emcees the Association for Corporate Growth OC chapter's annual awards dinner at the Island Hotel Newport Beach.
May 6 —Rick introduces Sir Eldon Griffiths at the Balboa Bay Club, Newport Beach. Griffiths is the author of a new two-volume autobiography, "TransAtlantic Man" and "Global Citizen."
March 18 —Rick speaks at the Junior Achievement of Orange County Awareness breakfast at the Center Club in Costa Mesa.

June 6 — Rick emcees the American Lung Assoc's Oxygen Ball aboard Majestic Yacht in Newport Harbor. The event marks the association's 100th anniversary in OC.
May 20 — Rick and Maria Hall Brown emcee the Literacy Project Foundation's inaugural luncheon at Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach.
April 22 — Rick introduces the Orange County Business Journal's 2008 Businessperson of the Year, Pimco CEO Mohamed El-Erian, at the OC Forum luncheon.
